The Community Advisory Committee (CAC) held its seventh meeting on Tuesday, October 13, 2020 via a virtual platform. Federal Monitor, Bart M. Schwartz, and the monitoring team’s Resident Engagement Team Leader, Asha Muldro, hosted the meeting which was viewed by over 100 people via a live stream.

As pointed out numerous times throughout the meeting, safety and security issues are a primary concern for all residents and have a direct impact on the HUD agreement.

Additional highlights of the discussion included NYCHA’s progress on the Organizational Plan pursuant to paragraph 46 of the HUD Agreement; available funding under a $35 million HUD grant; as well as remarks from U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development Regional Administrator for Region II, Lynne Patton, Council Member and Committee on Public Housing Chair, Alicka Ampry-Samuel, and Citywide Council of Presidents Chair (CCOP) Daniel Barber.

Both a recording and the agenda are available.
