Federal Monitor Holds Town Hall About NYCHA Elevator Action Plan

On Wednesday, March 10, 2021, via Zoom, NYCHA Federal Monitor Bart M. Schwartz and the monitoring team’s Resident Engagement Team Leader, Asha Muldro, hosted a virtual town hall that featured a presentation on NYCHA’s Elevator Action Plan.

Mr. Schwartz opened the session and provided a general overview of the Actions Plans developed and their purposes for meeting the requirements of the HUD agreement. Dan Brownell, deputy monitor to Mr. Schwartz, discussed in more detail the Elevator Action Plan including an outline of the action items and an analysis of elevator performance trends. In addition, monitoring team member, Chris Davies, provided deeper explanations about specific aspects of the Action Plan.

The presentation was followed by a question-and-answer session with NYCHA residents and community stakeholders.
