Dear Resident Association Board Members,
I know some of you recently assumed your roles as members and leaders of your Boards, while others have been serving your communities in official and unofficial capacities for many years. Your dedication towards the betterment of conditions at your developments and ensuring residents’ voices are being heard is admirable.
In that spirit, I would like to invite you to continue to do that in a virtual meeting I am organizing to facilitate a conversation about what is being done and what needs to be done to meet the goals of the HUD Agreement.
Conversation with the NYCHA Federal Monitor
Tuesday, January 10, 2023, 6:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.
[ Register here ]
Here is what we intend to discuss during the meeting:
- Overview of the NYCHA Federal Monitorship and updates
- Discussion between the Monitor and Resident Association Board members
- Next steps and working together
Due to the volume of attendance, we are asking everyone to please register for the meeting. If you are having trouble with your registration, please email us at [email protected]. Everyone will have an opportunity to request to speak and ask a question on a first-come-first-serve basis.
This is only our first in a series of meetings we plan to host with Resident Association Board members. We intend to continue to facilitate conversations like this on an ongoing basis as we have done throughout the monitorship.
Please revisit our website regularly to read about the work of our team and the Community Advisory Committee.
I look forward to seeing you on January 10th.
